Blood vessel constrictions are followed by blood vessel dilatations in the blood microcirculation, resulting in paradoxical vessel motricity. When exposed to a heavy cold stimulus, blood vessels alternately constrict and widen to counteract it.
Cryophoresis and barophoresis are the processes by which the Coo lifting active is multiplied by cold and pressure. The mixture of cold and high pressure applied to the epidermis results in deep penetration of Coo lifting actives and an exponential rise in their effects.
Thermal shock causes the underlying tissues to be stimulated. Those tissues usually have a temperature of about 36oC (97oF). A rapid decrease in temperature results in a deep and instantaneous dermis reaction.
